We are seeking a talented and motivated Data Engineer to join our team as a Data Engineer I. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and play a crucial role in driving our mission forward. You will be working with a team of experienced professionals in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Extract, transform, and load data from various business-critical systems into cloud-based databases
- Support development and maintenance of business system integrations
- Manage data models that support BI and analytics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data-related needs and ensure the timely delivery of curated data sources
- Continuously monitor and improve data quality and accuracy
- Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Operate in a fast-paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities
- Manage role access and privilege escalation across a distributed database
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Experience with using SQL to query ERP, CRM, and event stream data sources
- Strong understanding of business terms and workflows (example order to cash, procure to pay, etc.)
- Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL best practices
- Experience with programming languages such as SQL, Python, or Java
- Ability to create BIs with modern data visualization tools
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and verbal/written communication skills
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information to stakeholders with varying
- Experience with data ingestion and data modeling (DBT, Stitch, FiveTran, etc.)
- Experience with data warehousing and RBAC security (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3-5 years experience with an Object Oriented Programming (OOP) language
- 3-5 years experience with SQL
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds
BASE COMPENSATION PAY RANGE: $97,200 - $113,400
In addition to base compensation, you will be eligible for stock options, discretionary annual bonus, no cost health insurance plans, 401k with company match, and flexible paid time off.
Please Note: Base compensation will depend on multiple factors, including geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
