Purpose
Over half of the Mexican population does not have access to financial products due to the limitations of traditional banking institutions. Kueski’s mission is to provide financial opportunities to these people through technological innovation.
The Data Engineer develops complex data processing systems to support data consumers and provide data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Design robust data-driven solutions at scale that support long-term needs
-
Develops complex data processing systems to support data consumers' use cases
-
Develops CI/CD pipelines to automate production deployments and monitoring
-
Develops infrastructure as code to deploy automated clean and organized infrastructure
-
Apply data cleansing techniques to facilitate data consumption and quality
-
Provide guidance to others to strengthen their solutions with experience
Position Requirements:
-
Ability to transform requirements into working software in production
-
Ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary team
-
Ability to undertake and lead medium to complex projects that require multiple iterations and may involve different technologies
-
Knows how a good Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) is organized
-
Knows how the non-functional requirements are part of delivering a solution
-
Design implement test and deploy production-ready code
-
Design and implement reliable solutions to data processing problems
-
Design build and debug Spark-based applications
-
Make partnerships with data consumers to apply large-scale data analytics and machine-learning techniques
-
Strong technical background in programming preferably with Java & Python and Scala is a plus
-
Strong knowledge of SQL traditional query development
-
Experience and understanding of software design patterns
-
Experience working with database engines
-
Experience using distributed programming engines for data processing with Spark
-
Experience integrating designing and building data pipelines
-
Experience deploying and maintaining data pipelines in production
-
Knowledge of big data AWS cloud services: S3 EC2 Glue Athena EMR
-
Experience developing high-level streaming solutions is a plus
-
Experience developing infrastructure as code tools is a plus
-
Experience with non-relational databases is a plus
-
Experience working with BI tools is a plus
