Job Description:
  • Enhance and support data quality application features with new attributes, using Python, Angular, SQL, Bootstrap, REST API, JSON, Quartz
  • Accept and prioritize requirements from the users for a JIRA tool, along with making changes in development environment and production
  • Create and follow through the release management process either bi-weekly or monthly (based on needs/resources, management requests, etc) that includes write ups for release justifications and the changes to be included
  • Participate in agile methodologies and adhere to agile principles in coding
  • Assist in user queries regarding the data quality application and the JIRA tool to ensure that all their questions regarding access, how-to-use features, and other miscellaneous requests are attended to
  • Analyze new and ad-hoc issues, including new coding, user queries, and understand how making a change would impact the application's ecosystem
  • Document releases, new code changes, new processes or technologies as needed and maintain up to date user manual so that the team/users could access it as needed
  • Able to meet deadlines, especially when certain processes are time sensitive

Required Skills:
  • Understand coding concepts/languages for Python, Angular, JSON, API, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Self-starter, able to learn quickly on the job and pick up work as assigned
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of agile development practices
  • Ability to balance and triage user issues among coding work and any tasks assigned
  • Understand code deployment/movement principles such as JIRA, Git, Jenkins, Artifactory

Enterprise Role Summary:
Responsible for developing and delivering data solutions to accomplish technology and business goals. Codes design and delivery tasks associated with the integration, cleaning, transformation and control of data in operational and analytics data systems. Works with stakeholders, Product Owners, and Software Engineers to aid in the implementation of data requirements, performance analysis, research and troubleshooting. Familiar with the data engineering practices of the bank. Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements. Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle. Understands and utilizes basic architecture components in solution development. Codes solutions to integrate, clean, transform and control data in operational and/or analytics data systems per the defined acceptance criteria. Works across development teams to understand and aid in the delivery of data requirements Assembles large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional requirements. Builds processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, data quality controls, dependency and workload management. Defines and builds data pipelines that enable faster, better, data-informed decision-making within the business. Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyzes test reports, identifies any test issues/errors, and triages the underlying cause. Documents and communicates required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality. Adheres to team delivery/release process and cadence pertaining to code deployment and release Identifies gaps in data management standards adherence and works with appropriate partners to develop plans to close gaps. Pay and benefits information
Jersey City pay range:
$90,000 - $145,900 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
Discretionary incentive eligible
