The Data Engineer II will work collaboratively with our Architecture, Analytics, Development, and Analyst teams to design, implement and maintain data warehousing and data management solutions to support business reporting, analytical requirements, and data integrations between Sea Spine's enterprise systems.

Your key responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of database applications and solutions for managing and integrating data between operational systems, data repositories, reporting and analytical applications.
• Design and develop optimal code to maintain exceptional performance in processing large volumes of data across diverse sources.
• Simplify and automate data-driven activities; build cloud solutions to have maximum scale and self-service ability by stakeholders.
• Work closely with Data architects, BI Developers and Functional Leads to deliver data integrations and BI solutions required for various projects and delivering necessary technical design artifacts.
• Responsible for investigating and troubleshooting production issues and stability of the ETL landscape and servers.
• Responsible for daily administration and monitoring of all ETL processes.
• Responsible for defining, implementing, and monitoring platform KPIs.
• Understand the business processes and the technology platform that enables it.
• Maintain awareness of industry standards, trends, and best practices in reporting, analysis, ETL, Data Integrity, Data Quality, and documentation to strengthen organizational and technical knowledge.

Who you are:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science
• MS degree in computer science or related field, preferred
• Proficiency in ETL/ELT processes, operational and OLAP data models, and data warehouses.
• Proficiency in Cloud databases, Data Pipelines and ETL tools like DataStage.
• Exposure to programming/scripting languages such as Java/Python.
• 5+ years of experience with major data warehousing platforms such as Oracle, SQL*Server, and Snowflake.
• Experience working in a cloud environment such as AWS.
• Experience with architecting and delivering data integration and ETL solutions.
• Extensive knowledge of SQL, including queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in BI data security and governance.
• Understanding of BI/Data Warehouse development methodologies.
• Exposure or knowledge in visualization/reporting tools such as Cognos/Tableau, is a plus
• Experience with Snowpipe, Tasks, Streams in Snowflake is an advantage.
• Experience with data from ERP systems such as Oracle is an advantage.
• Knowledge in Sales Analytics/Supply Chain/Inventory Management functional areas is a plus.
