About the Role:Â
As a Data Engineer at Unite Us, you thrive on solving complex data problems. The value you bring as an in-house data engineer in the analytics organization is being a subject matter expert in social care and/or health care data and in building a robust data analytics infrastructure which is intuitively designed for analytics.Â
What You'll Do:
- Design, develop and maintain data architecture and infrastructure to meet business objectives, empower data analysts and support other data consumers
- Work closely with other teams and roles including data engineers, data analysts, business intelligence engineers and product managers to make sure that the technical infrastructure can support customer requirements
- Evaluate available data and BI tools for use within the analytics architecture
- Architect solutions to deliver data to customers through self-service and secure file transfer
- Develop ETL and data pipeline solutions to load data warehouses
- Assess and optimize internal data pipelines for reliability and performance
- Establish and create internal processes that automate manual workflows, optimize data delivery, and maintain data infrastructure for scalabilityÂ
- Work with cross functional teams including the Solutions Delivery, Insights Solutions, Business Intelligence Engineering, Data Science, and Business Analytics teams to assist with and support any data-related technical issues and/or needs
You’re a great fit for this role if:
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer in which you set up data pipelines
- Experience using and building solutions to support various reporting and data user tools (Tableau, Chartio, Looker, etc) and working with data warehouses, data lakes and ETL pipelines
- Experience working on healthcare and/or social determinants of health data products
- Experience conducting root cause analyses on internal and external data processes to investigate and troubleshoot issues, answer business questions, and identify opportunities for improvement
- Ability to think forward and build performant systems with a scalable solution that satisfies various needs of enterprise clients with dedicated data teams
- Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with pulling complex queries, query authoring and familiarity with a variety of relational databases such as Redshift, Postgres, and Snowflake
- Python knowledge and experience working with data structures and data scraping
- Ability to utilize Apache Airflow to author, schedule and monitor workflows or pipelines
- Excellent communication skills and experience working cross-functionally with other technology and analytics teams

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:
- This position is remote, U.S. based
- The target pay range for this role is: 120,000 - 130,000
- This position may require a small amount of travelÂ
