DATA ENGINEER III

Position Summary...Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

What you'll do...About Team:H&W Data team at Walmart is responsible for driving analytics for Walmart H&W initiatives. We work in an ever-changing environment and use cutting-edge technologies to solve complex business problems. At Walmart, we work across borders, and without limits. As a member of this team, you would be working on H&W Data engineering platforms.What you'll do:

• Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
• Drive the success of the implementation by applying technical skills, to design and build enhanced processes and technical solutions in support of strategic initiatives.
• Build, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting associates of Walmart worldwide.

What you'll bring:

• 2 -3 years of experience in design and development of highly -scalable applications and platforms.
• Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, design patterns
• Having proficiency with these technologies like Java, Microservices, Distributed Systems.
• Experience on Cloud Architecture, Microservices Architecture and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Experience in deploying solutions on any of these cloud platforms (Azure, GCP)
• Working knowledge of SQL /No-SQL and database technologies (MySQL, Mango DB)
• Work exposure on Agile methodologies and DevOps would be added advantage
• Well versed with Testing frameworks like JUnit
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - including negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skills; ability to influence and persuade, without direct control
• Practitioner of Agile (Scrum) methodology.
