Data Engineer Intern

Position Overview

Outset is seeking a talented Data Engineer Intern for 3 months to assist with driving a robust and optimal data architecture that integrates with operational and data analytical processes. We are looking to integrate multiple heterogeneous data sources to build efficient, flexible, and scalable data warehouse and reporting solutions. In this role, you will work with experts in designing, implementing, and operating a stable, scalable, low-cost environment to enable flow of information from the data warehouse into end-user facing reporting applications. You will assist in bringing large datasets together to answer business questions and drive data-driven decision making. To ensure success in this role you should be passionate and reasonably fluent with modern data engineering technologies. Ideal candidates must have excellent problem-solving skills, a high degree of attention to detail, a willingness to learn and be able to effectively work in a team. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

• Assist with building of data pipeline infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, cloud based relational or non-relational databases.
• Assist with building complex data platforms and large-scale CI/CD data pipelines using various technologies.
• Managing data definition, usage, quality, metrics for data attributes, data models and data dictionary and ensuring/ measuring to follow all the data architecture standards.
• Collaborating and participating in discussions with business analysts, technical architects, and data scientists.
• Work with platform, information security architects and data privacy leaders to design and enhance cloud data infrastructure to address security, PII and data reliability concerns.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science, or a similar field, or an equivalent combination of education (Bachelor's degree).
• Proficiency in SQL. Experience with AWS data Engineering tools preferred.
• Proficient in Python, ability to maintain high quality coding standards.

Duration of the Internship: 3 Months

The Annual Salary Range for this role will be $ an hour
