Data Engineer - Remote

Job Description

Title: Data Engineer

Location: Remote (EST/ CST time zone)

Job Role and Responsibilities:

1. Strong expertise in artificial intelligence through use of machine learning, data mining, and information retrieval to design, prototype and build next generation advanced analytics engines and services.

2. Define technical problem statement and hypothesis to test; develops solutions that mimic business decisions and incorporates them into analytical data products or tools with the support of a cross-functional team in manufacturing.

Required Skills and Experience:

1. Experience gathering requirements from customers.

2. 3 - 5 years' experience in developing ETL pipelines and Data Warehouses

3. Expert SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases as well as a working familiarity with a variety of databases.

4. Experience in working with large datasets (Terabytes or more)

5. Experience in a range of common big data tools & technologies such as Spark, Hive, Snowflake, Kafka etc.

6. Programming (Scala/Java) or scripting skills (Python)

7. Experience in Databricks and PySpark preferred.

Education and Qualifications:

BS in Engineering / Computer Science

Due to the nature of this role, US Citizenship is required.
