This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Data Engineer SĂȘnior (People Analytics) in Brazil.

This role is at the core of a fast-evolving People Analytics & AI ecosystem, where data is a strategic driver for decision-making. You will be responsible for building and scaling a modern data platform focused on governance, reliability, and performance, enabling high-quality insights across HR and organizational metrics. Acting as a technical reference for the OneLake architecture, you will design and maintain robust data pipelines, integrate multiple People data sources, and ensure end-to-end data integrity. The environment is highly collaborative, agile, and innovation-driven, with strong emphasis on ownership and technical excellence. You will work with large-scale distributed data systems and modern Microsoft Fabric technologies, contributing directly to how data empowers workforce decisions. This is a senior hands-on role with strong impact on data strategy, architecture, and analytics enablement.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and storage of large-scale datasets using Microsoft Fabric.
  • Develop and evolve ETL/ELT processes integrating multiple People-related data sources and systems.
  • Implement data quality, validation, and observability frameworks, ensuring accuracy and reliability of People metrics.
  • Define and scale OneLake architecture, including data layers, standards, naming conventions, and governance practices.
  • Manage the full data lifecycle (ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption) ensuring integrity, traceability, and accessibility for analytics tools such as Power BI and APIs.
  • Implement and enforce data governance, security, and LGPD compliance practices including RBAC, auditing, and data masking.
  • Optimize performance and scalability of data workloads using Spark, SQL, partitioning strategies, and cost-efficient architecture design.
  • Contribute as a senior individual contributor, promoting engineering best practices such as code reviews, documentation, and automation.
  • Participate in innovation initiatives, proposing improvements in data architecture, cataloging, automation, and analytics enablement.

  • Requirements:

    • Strong proficiency in SQL for complex and optimized data querying.
    • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric ecosystem, including OneLake, Lakehouse/Warehouse, Data Factory, Spark, notebooks (Python/PySpark), and shortcuts.
    • Advanced experience with Python and PySpark for data engineering tasks.
    • Solid knowledge of distributed processing and Spark-based architectures.
    • Experience with Git workflows (GitHub), including pull requests, code reviews, and collaborative development practices.
    • Strong understanding of data engineering best practices, including testing, documentation, automation, and code quality standards.
    • Experience in data modeling and architecture (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Mart) and building analytical datasets.
    • Ability to work autonomously with ownership, prioritization skills, and problem-solving mindset.
    • Experience handling sensitive and confidential data with strong awareness of LGPD and data security principles.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in complex environments with clarity and organization.
    • Nice to have:

      • Experience with People Analytics and HR data environments.
      • Knowledge of Power BI and analytical data consumption modeling.
      • Experience with data governance in Microsoft Fabric (catalog, lineage, RBAC, auditing).
      • Familiarity with data masking, anonymization, and privacy practices.
      • Exposure to Azure or AWS in data engineering contexts.
      • Experience with APIs for data consumption or exposure.
      • Interest or experience in Artificial Intelligence applied to data.
      • Advanced English.
