Data Engineer & Systems Support

Ylopo LLC is an exciting, rapidly growing, and well funded technology startup headquartered in Santa Monica, CA with a growing team based in and around Manila. We are looking for a talented Data Architect to work alongside our CTO. The right candidate will have extensive experience with ETL process.

This is a full-time, work from home position with working hours of 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM PST. Occasional weekend work or overtime may arise when deadlines need to be met.

Job Requirements: 

• With working experience in Data Management, Data Modelling, ETL development, Data Warehousing and Data Analysis
• Strong hands-on skills in SQL and PL/SLQ
• Knowledge of Analytical Software such as Tableau
• With knowledge and deep understanding of data platform architecture design
• Good knowledge of Data Warehousing is essential, with strong ability to analyze user requirements into technical solutions based on specifications
• Strong interpersonal, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Exposure to open-source relational databases such as PostgreSQL is an advantage
• Zendesk and Pentaho knowledge

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, implement, document, and operate large-scale volume, high-performance data structures for the business
• Implement data structures using best practices in data modeling and ETL processes
• Gather business and functional requirements and translate these into robust, scalable operable solutions
• Participate in the full end-to-end development life cycle, from design, implementation, and testing, to documentation, delivery, support, and maintenance
• Responsible for the SIT execution with a focus on strategic testing processes and procedures to ensure that business standards and specifications are met
• Support various business functions by collaborating with multiple stakeholders, work with cross-functional teams to source data and make it available for business use
• Identifies, investigates, and resolves users' problems with computer software and hardware

System Requirements:

• The processor should be 2.0ghz and above, Intel core 5/7 is highly required for both main and back-up hardware
• Ram should be at least 16 GB with 100 gb Free disk space
• A headset with the noise-canceling feature
• 20 Mbps & up wired connection for the main internet service
• strictly no USB Sticks allowed for backup internet connection

Shift Schedule: 8AM - 4PM Pacific Standard

Rate: starts at Php 100,000 depends on experience
