Position: Data Engineer x2

Duration: 6 months + C2H

Hybrid: Can work remotely, 

East Coast time Zone is highly preferred as they will be working with the team in the UK.

 Alternate Investment firm is seeking 2 Data Engineers to support both US and European locations. To best align with the UK team, candidates should be from the EST time zone. These possible contract-to-hire roles are supporting a real estate pricing initiative involved with Investments spanning over a billion dollars worth of properties. As the market fluctuates, we will look to use real-time data in this new system to make enhanced business decisions while being mindful of volatilities.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Strong Python ecosystem experience (minimum 5 years) with data wrangling in a way that is “testable” 
• Experience with Azure (SQL Server, ADF, ML studio)
• PowerBI
• Experience with unit-testable code
• Duration 6 mos to start + extension
• Ensuring proper performance and building predictive models
• Modeling exp on a case-by-case basis, any tools are fine
• The US houses Data Engineering and Cloud teams. UK team houses all AI reporting. Models created should have future deployments for AI in mind.
• Experience in working with both structured and unstructured data
• Data being worked is housed in various repositories. Future states would look to use AI to coordinate all data.
• Experience in fine-tuning disparate data sources. 
• Will be working with Azure batches to SQL DB which with then be standardized using Power BI
• Data Engineers will need to determine what data means as well as the who & where to properly integrate as some APIs are not well documented.
• Will be providing cleansed data to assist the Data Sci team in driving effective models.
• Will orchestrate data through ADF, and assist in data cleansing where warranted.
• Data Eng’s will need to figure out how to connect the data together to help the data scientist choose the relevant data needed.
• Exp working with external API’s with mostly external data sources.
