Broadridge is hiring a Data Engineer/Architect to join the Trading and Connectivity Solutions Development team.

We are looking for an individual with extensive experience with large datasets. Someone who can help structure data from across the organization, cleanse the data, create extracts of data based on needs, and create applications and utilities to display and report data which enable the business to have more transparency.

You will have the opportunity to take on major responsibilities and work on all aspects of the software development lifecycle (product specification, design, implementation, functional / unit & performance testing, deployment, and 3rd line support).

Essential Skills

• A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics
• 5 years experience with large data sets/data warehouses and extracting, loading, and transforming data
• 5 years in depth experience with databases, database applications, and data analytics
• Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server, or similar database experience
• SQL experience
• Python, Perl, or R development experience

Nice to Have:

• Experience with business intelligence and data visualisation tools: Tableau, Apache Superset, Google Charts, Amazon QuickSight, D3, ggplot2, etc.
• Experience with databases for data warehousing and analytical processing of large data sets
• Experience with cloud based databases for data warehousing: Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Microsoft Azure SQL, etc.
• Experience with trading and/or middle office application and data
• Experience with the FIX protocol
• Java development experience
• Linux experience
• Shell scripting experience

Optional Technical Skills

• Experience with data compute tools for large data sets: MapReduce, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, etc.
• Experience with data stream processing tools: Kafka, Storm, Flink, etc.

Salary Range: $140,000 to $160,000 Annual

Bonus Eligible

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
