We are rapidly growing our CV/ML capabilities and we are looking for a Data Engineering Intern to work on scaling up our data collection, curation and management infrastructure. As part of this internship, you will help develop the tools to do just that. This will be a great opportunity for a driven and motivated individual to gain industry experience while also being able to make an impact on the company’s growth.
What You’ll Do- Develop the tools required to automate our data collection, ingestion, annotation and neural network model training pipelines
- Create documentation for said tools including training material for non-technical users of these tools
- Work with data collection technicians to
- Train them on data collection, data quality control and the use of above mentioned tools
- Review and report statistics on collected data
- Design and execute neural network model training pipelines and perform iterative experimentation to improve performance.
- Some travel to customer sites may be required for data collection (<25%)
- You are a graduate student pursuing a M.S./Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field. Any prior job experience, especially in software development, is a bonus.
- You are fluent in Python and associated widely used libraries such as numpy, matplotlib, opencv etc.
- You are familiar with machine learning libraries such as PyTorch or Tensorflow can quickly learn to use new libraries as necessary
- You have strong fundamentals in mathematics and can speak the language of machine learning and data science
- You are adaptable - Path is constantly evolving so someone who can identify and develop opportunities for Path to improve existing operations is desired
- You possess great written and verbal communication skills- This role will have to regularly communicate between Technicians, CV/ML Engineers, and Hardware Engineers
