VaynerMedia is searching for a Data Engineering Manager, someone who is driven to build a new data and measurement solution for our clients and team members designed to drive best in class data management for our Fortune 500 brand roster.

As a leader in the data infrastructure and visualization team within the Analytics discipline , your focus is on delivering the data and analytics infrastructure of the future for our clients.  In the Data Engineering Manager role, you’ll be working with internal stakeholders, analysts and data scientists, while  leading a team of engineers to drive a successful data infrastructure for VaynerMedia. This position requires a passionate data engineering expert who has a strong technical background and a drive for building a team of next generation data engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale a complete data management solution across a variety of data sources and environments.  This solution will power Vayner’s next generation of modeling products and data experiences.
• Design, and implement engineering improvements to automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery and driving greater scalability of Vayner’s  data platform.
• Foster relationships with business leaders, engineers, analysts and data scientists across VaynerMedia’s verticals to develop an understanding of technical requirements and design solutions to meet the organizations needs.
• Partner with other technology teams and vendors to process  data from a variety of data sources.
• Be the subject matter expert (SME) for all data related engineering technologies and designs for the VaynerMedia Organization as a whole.
• Coach and mentor others within the Analytics organization  and in particular the engineering team to build scalable solutions that meet client and account needs.

Qualifications/Requirements

• 6 years of professional experience in a data engineering role and leading data engineering teams
• Direct experience with data modeling and ETL workflow management tools such as: Alteryx, Supermetrics, Talend, Tableau Prep Conductor and FiveTran, Matillion, Snowflake 
• Have keen insight into the development principles and cloud development of a modern data warehousing solution
• Experience in building data pipelines using Python and SQL
• Have in depth experience in managing Cloud Database Management Platforms such as: Snowflake, AWS(Redshift, Athena) and Google Cloud Platform
• Experience in leveraging Tableau, PowerBI or other visualization tools to bring dynamic dashboarding to life for clients and internal stakeholders
• Experience with 3rd party data ingestions and normalization via APIs, peer-to-peer networks, SFTP, etc

• Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.  
• Base Salary $130,000 - $150,000
