Job Description

This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA's family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.

This role will sit onsite, likely in a hybrid capacity, at the location(s) listed in this posting.

The anticipated term of this engagement will be 9 months. This term could be extended based on company business needs.

CW-Data Analyst IV

The Lead Data Analyst reviews and approves complex analytics and statistical modeling on large data sets that identify current market sector trends and customer patterns. This job directs the examination and identification of data patterns and trends that help answer business questions and improve decision-making. The Lead Data Analyst oversees the collection of data sources, as well as the analysis and extraction of key data and information. This job also ensures that data quality meets the organization's information system needs and requirements.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Approves mathematical, statistical, and economic techniques that determine market conditions, project consumer needs and inform business initiatives.
  • Analyzes and reviews trends found from modelling to inform other lines of business such as product development and marketing decisions.
  • Oversees data mining models, statistical reporting and data analysis methodologies to identify key customer segments and to simulate impact of potential business decisions.
  • Develops and presents detailed reports and conclusions for business, finance, and investment management based on data summaries.
  • Analyzing results for multiple functions and communicating conclusions from complex models to a wide range of audiences.
  • Partners with other areas of the business to model outcome of implementing potential business strategies.
  • Manages large, complex projects or processes with limited oversight while working with other team members to ensure accurate findings and results.

Responsibilities:

  • Expertise in Collibra DG and DQ toolset.
  • Will be a subject matter expert in Collibra and help teams to adopt Collibra for Governance activities.
  • Champion and drive improvement in data management and Governance practices.
  • Support the creation and implementation of processes and procedures to support data standards and control frameworks.
  • Meet with necessary stakeholders for Business Glossary implementation.
  • Act as SME on Governance practices to help Data stewards' day to day activities.
  • Define Data Catalogs.
  • Collecting and interpreting data, understand the relationship between the data elements.
  • Identify and define new process improvement opportunities.
  • Filter and "clean" data by defining the data quality rules.
  • Perform Data Profiling tasks.

Preferred Skills:

  • An understanding of data architecture and modeling practices and concepts including entity-relationship diagrams, normalization, abstraction, denormalization, dimensional modeling, and meta data modeling practices.
  • An understanding of Data Governance Practices - Business Glossary, Data catalogs, source to target mappings, Data Quality etc.
  • Advanced SQL knowledge preferably on Oracle and Snowflake Databases
  • Exposure to Governance tools. Collibra is must.
  • Financia/Asset Management domain knowledge is preferred.

Base Pay Range: $77.14/hr. - $83.57/hr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
