The Data Governance Analyst will identify requirements for data governance, integrity, quality and audit functions and drive to develop new data governance guidelines. This role will be an important part of the operationalization of the client data governance program. First San Francisco Partners is seeking both employees and contractors for the Data Governance Analyst role. This role will be responsible for assessing data management environments and governance capabilities to make data actionable for the business and to turn information into value at a compensation of $65,000 - $85,000.  First San Francisco Partners is currently seeking 1099 contractors for this role.

 Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and interviews (as necessary) with Business and IT stakeholders to understand strategy and requirements  
  • Identifies requirements for data governance, integrity, quality and audit functions; including driving and developing new data governance guidelines.  
  • Collecting and analyzing the project's data governance requirements from meetings, research, and relevant documents, and transferring the same knowledge to project team.  
  • Provide quality assurance of all data governance operationalization deliverables  
  • Facilitate required interactions and meeting sessions and support overall logistics  
  • Supports and conducts client personnel training sessions as needed.  
  • Prepare presentations and deliverables.  
  • Supports the development of project deliverables, synthesizes findings and integrates them into strategic-level deliverables 
  • Documents and analyzes results from meetings, researches and reviews relevant documents 
  • Captures and documents business, functional and technical requirements 
  • Files all project artifacts and deliverables and maintains document inventory 
  • Facilitates required interactions and meeting sessions 
  • Works on tasks as directed by the Engagement Lead  
  • Coordinates the scheduling of meetings and develops, distributes and stores project artifacts, work papers and deliverables 
  • Other tasks as directed by the project leads  

 Skills and Qualifications:  

  • 3+ years of experience working as a Business or Data Governance Analyst.  
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, CIS or related field.  
  • A demonstrated track record of making a difference and adding value.  
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.  
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated.  
  • Ability to work and adjust to changing deadlines.  
  • Creative problem-solving skills.  
  • Must be able to develop relationships across the organization, working cross functionally to get results.  
  • Ability to present complex information in a simplified fashion to facilitate understanding and the ability to explain value of data governance to both business and technical stakeholders.  
  • Can effectively manipulate and analyze large amounts of data.  
  • Proficient with MS Office products including Microsoft Project.  

 Additional qualifications:  

  • Collibra knowledge a plus  
  • Familiarity with data management and analytical tools 
  • Experience in enterprise BI and Analytics 
  • Leads assessment of data governance maturity current state 

This range is based on our market pay structures. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity and candidate qualifications, such as skills, experience and education.
