What you will be doing

The Data Management team within Data & Insights Center of Excellence (COE) is a new, exciting group created to transform Albertsons be a data-driven enterprise. We scale customer obsession and use data to drive business strategy, innovation, and improvements to customer needs, and solve business problems. We have an open position for an Incident Manager role, and this can be based anywhere closer to the Albertsons office locations, with a marginal preference for the west coast hours.

As a Data Incident and Problem Manager, you will be responsible for tracking and coordinating production incidents, defining production incident mitigation strategies, reporting production incident trends to Data Governance leadership and other stakeholders, and identify root causes post-incident-remediation. We are looking for an experienced Incident & Problem Manager to join the team and strengthen the problem management operations at Albertsons.

The position will be based in Boise, ID, Pleasanton CA, Phoenix, AZ or closer to other Albertsons office locations

Main responsibilities• Act as Incident Commander, providing coordination throughout the incident restoration process (high priority incidents) • For Mission Critical Incidents, coordinate with the central Incident Management team who will assume Incident Commander responsibilities, and ensure that Data consumers are kept fully informed • Provide visibility (customer impact, action items, estimations, etc.) for the key stakeholders during the lifecycle of an incident • Ensure Incident and Problem Management best practices are maintained within the Data organization • Drive the post-incident investigation conversation with all relevant participants • Help to continuously refine and improve the Incident Response Process for Data Management team • Work with leadership to help define standards for incident mitigation • Provide incident and problem metrics and risk reporting to Data Governance leadership

What we are searching for• Bachelor's degree in related field is required • Four (4)+ years of Data Stewardship expertise • Solve complex problems with a high level of autonomy • Maintain incident logs and process incident reports for review with management • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Develop procedural runbooks for various Production Incident resolutions • Translate high-level objectives into tactical tasks that can be executed upon • Familiarity with ITSM best practices is a must • Familiarity with ServiceNow is a plus • A high bar for excellence • Passion for achieving great things with data
