Digital Assets Trading

IEX is building a bridge between traditional finance and digital assets with a new initiative that intends to give investors a transparent and compliant way to trade digital assets. We just announced plans to work with the leading cryptocurrency exchange, FTX, to establish a clear, simple, and transparent market structure for buying, selling and trading digital asset securities. Data Infrastructure Engineer - Digital Assets Trading

The Data Infrastructure Engineer will help our team build new products that will better serve our core customers. This person will have the opportunity to play a key role in developing new platforms for IEX and solve interesting financial data problems. 

About You:

What You’ll Do: 

• Build databases and new platforms 
• Build complex data solutions from scratch 
• Maintain data services 
• Perform data maintenance, backup and security checks 
• Optimize data access
• Manage third-party data
• Ensure data security in accordance with internal policies and procedures 

You Are: 

• 5-10 years of data engineering 
• 5+ years of KDB+/Q
• Expertise in Python
• Advanced Linux user
• Data security and encryption knowledge 
• Knowledge of databases, development and internet software
• Knowledge of Java or C/C++
• Understanding of financial products and equities 
• Culture fit (Think Big, Do Good/ Win Together/ Be Gritty/ Invent & Reinvent

Bonus Points:

• Experience working with blockchains, smart contracts, data oracles or other related technologies 
• Knowledge of working with cloud platforms (AWS, Google and/or Microsoft)
