Data & Insights Director

IDT is searching for a Data & Insights Director to lead our Business Intelligence team. In this role, your primary responsibilities will be to deliver and maintain “Data Platform As A Service” to the company. This platform (EDW) helps business teams gain critical insights through analysis and solve business problems. Data from EDW is consumed by all business units and all levels of management.

Responsibilities

• Understand business needs and translate them to technical requirements for BI team.
• Manage a team of BI Engineers / developers who are spread across the USA, Latin America, Europe and India.
• Deliver and maintain data platform as a service (Enterprise data-warehouse) to the company using tools and technologies like, kettle, Snowflake, Denodo & Looker.
• Work with all stakeholders to develop and manage strict data standards across different systems.
• Support the Marketing analytics organization with data needs to resolve campaign optimization process across different product and services.




Typical assignments will include but not limited to:




• Meetings with Senior Management, Marketing and Product Management staff to understand business goals and challenges.
• Doing code / design review with BI engineers and making sure processes are developed per standards.
• Evaluating new tools and technologies and delivering fit for function solutions to meet business needs.
• Performance management of all BI team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or quantitative analysis field or equivalent
• Minimum of 12 years of hands-on experience in building enterprise data warehouses and delivering data on modern data platforms
• Strong experience in performance management of the team.
• Strong SQL coding and data analysis experience
• Strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Responsible, accountable and result-driven
• Experience in working with remote teams spread across different geo locations
