Medisolv is seeking a Healthcare Data Integration Specialist with expertise querying and analyzing EHR data. As Healthcare Data Integration Specialist, you will work closely with Medisolv clients to extract, transform and load clinical and financial healthcare data from clients' EHR databases/data warehouses into Medisolv's normalized data repository which feeds our suite of reporting and analytics products. You will also serve as the EHR data subject matter expert at Medisolv and will advise other members of the Medisolv data team on best practices for querying the data.

Responsibilities:
  • Create, test and maintain SQL ETL scripts used to extract data from client EHRs, primarily working with clients' Athena Health data, but may also be required to work with other EHR vendor databases (Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, Meditech, eCW, etc.)
  • Work closely with clients to modify ETL scripts to address data issues related to client documentation workflow variability
  • Validate data pipeline output against EHR source databases
  • Serve as Medisolv's EHR data subject matter expert
  • Advise members of the Medisolv data team on best practices for querying EHR data
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues with ETL data pipelines
  • Create and maintain internal and client facing technical documentation
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of three years of experience querying and analyzing EHR data is required (Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, Meditech, eCW, etc.)
  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server (or other SQL technology) required
  • Experience performing data validation on complex datasets
  • Working knowledge of Standard Code Systems (ie. CPT, ICD, LOINC, SNOMED, RxNorm, etc.)
  • Ability to lead discussions with clients to investigate root cause of data related issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to document and explain schema elements, overall architecture, and system-approach to both management and engineering staff.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are not currently able to provide sponsorship for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience querying Athena Health EHR data is preferred
  • Experience using FHIR or EHR vendor specific APIs.
  • Experience working with ETL processes and procedures.
  • Familiarity with one or more key health data standards, including: HL7, FHIR, CDA, CCD.
  • Familiarity with eCQM and Meaningful Use measures.
  • Working knowledge of HIPPPA data security requirements.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
