MITRE's Finance Office Center is seeking a Group Leader (GL) in the Data and Integrations Department within the Enterprise Business Systems and Operations Division (EBSOD). The Data and Integrations Department manages the Enterprise Data Warehouse, the feeds in and feeds out, the addition of new subject areas and the modification of exiting to accommodate rapidly evolving and ever-changing gold source.

Job Responsibilities:

The Data & Integrations, Group Leader will be a key member of the Data & Integrations management team, contributing to the strategic direction and management of the Data & Integrations Department, as well as supporting the Department Head with hiring, staffing, career development and coaching, performance management, and technical reviews. The selected candidate will be a first-line supervisor focused on developing and growing MITRE's talent. The GL will mentor 10 staff members to ensure their development and quality delivery to outcomes. The GL duties are generally anticipated to comprise a Level of Effort of approximately 10%. GLs spend the remained of their time, 90%, as a technical team member or leader on one or more projects associated with the department capabilities.

The Role is hybrid and will be located in the McLean, Virginia office.

Key Functions:

The Data & Integrations GL will have the following responsibilities:

• Be a key member of the management team, contributing to the strategic direction and management of the Data & Integrations Department within the EBSOD
• Serve as the Direct Supervisor for assigned staff. Coach, mentor and guide staff, conduct ongoing conversations, recommend training and development
• Communicate on a regular basis with work leaders on group member performance to provide constructive feedback and support career development. Leverage these work leader relationships to match projects with staff competencies and identify stretch assignments to develop new skills
• Assist the Department Manager with work-shaping
• Work as a senior technical advisor to key data projects and epics
• Work with group leaders in other EBSOD departments to bring integrated solutions to priority epics

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Science, Business, or related disciplines
• 10+ years documented professional experience with data warehouse design and implementation or data integrations or database design and implementation
• Experience in establishing data integrations, on-prem to cloud, cloud to cloud
• Demonstrated ability to learn data relationships and data design
• Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis
• Experience with AWS data storage and access
• Leadership and interpersonal capabilities to establish and foster relationships within and across Departments and Divisions
• Demonstrated ability to provide career guidance and coaching to department members
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic project plans
• Experience with team management in a technical environment
• Affinity for personnel leadership/management
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to impact technical projects and lead them to successful completion and ongoing maintenance
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Passion for excellence and demonstrated ability to lead and contribute to the development of high-quality products

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a GL
• Previous experience in an evolving on-network data warehouse to cloud model
• Experience in Enterprise Data Warehouse technology
• Prior experience with one of the following or equivalent tool: Workday HCM, Deltek Costpoint, OneStream.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and design
• Experience managing multiple projects concurrently
