Data Literacy Lead
Job Description
Analytica is seeking a remote Data Literacy Lead to support a federal government client engagement in the Washington, DC metro area. This role will be responsible for leading the overall efforts to expand data literacy across the Agency by recommending, developing, and presenting professional training and development sessions to help enhance enterprise data use and comprehension.Â
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, a deep understanding of federal data standards and architecture best practices, with proven technical experience in leading teams to implement these standards effectively.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Develop and Execute Data Literacy Programs: Design and implement a data literacy strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives. Define and implement comprehensive data training programs and best practices that align with the federal client's organizational goals and regulatory requirements.Â

Lead Training: Create and deliver engaging training programs, workshops, and seminars to enhance data skills across the organization. Develop online and offline learning resources, including tutorials, guides, and interactive modules.Â

Foster a Data-Driven Culture: Advocate for the importance of data literacy and promote a culture of data-driven decision-making. Provide ongoing support and mentorship to employees to help them develop their data skills. Organize events, such as data literacy days or hackathons, to encourage data exploration and innovation.Â

Measure and Report Progress: Develop metrics to assess the effectiveness of data literacy programs and track progress over time. Provide regular reports to senior management on the impact of data literacy initiatives and areas for improvement.Â

Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to data literacy and governance, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies.Â

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, IT, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and promote standardized data practices.
Basic Qualifications:

US Citizen with the ability to secure US Federal Security Clearance

Bachelor’s degree in in education, instructional design or equivalent; Master’s degree a plusÂ

6+ years relevant experience in designing and delivering training programs centered on technical and/or data literacy

Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.Â

Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as SQL, Python, R, Excel, Tableau, or Power BI. Knowledge in training professional staff in the use, manipulation, or presentation of data to a wide range of audiencesÂ

Demonstrate knowledge or experience in survey design and implementation for a large organization or publicÂ

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and conciselyÂ

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and engage with stakeholders at all levelsÂ

Prior experience working with DHS, USCIS, ICE or CBP a plusÂ
