JOB DESCRIPTION:

To satisfy the needs of our growing data management function, Hamilton Lane is looking to hire a Data Management Analyst to join our Enterprise Data Management Team in the Conshohocken office. The Enterprise Data Management team is responsible for developing new processes, maintaining our Enterprise Data Management platform, and establishing best practices for Data Management at Hamilton Lane. Our knowledgeable team is actively involved in special projects and initiatives with all departments including investments, fintech, analytics, business development, and relationship management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain existing processes for the Enterprise Data Management platform
  • Manage the process of relating data fields between three separate Hamilton Lane applications.
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively about the private market asset class.
  • Assist in initiatives for data quality, governance, and metadata activities.
  • Work with colleagues to evaluate and approve changes in the Hamilton Lane dataset.


  • Develop and implement plans for assessing the quality of new data sources
  • Design and conduct analysis to identify and remediate data quality or integrity issues and to identify and remediate process or control gaps.


Other Requirements /Functions:

  • Assist with other duties and special projects as needed


NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS; Education and/or Experience:

  • BA/BS in related field (e.g., business/finance/engineering/information technology/mathematics/physical sciences)
  • 0-2 plus years of work experience in an accounting/financial industry setting preferred
  • Experience with Data Management or Data Governance a plus
  • Comfort and familiarity with large data sets, relational databases, reporting and query tools
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills


  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with relational database software or tools is a plus (e.g., SQL, Access)
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, and possess good analytical skills
  • Must be able to handle multiple assignments/initiatives
