Data Management Associate

We are looking for a hard-working and dedicated Data Management Specialist who plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity and reliability of data within the Prosper Group's Data Lake. They perform routine data hygiene tasks and promptly address any identified data issues. Leveraging their strong analytical skills, they analyze related data for ad hoc requests and contribute to brainstorming sessions and the development of new business intelligence dashboards.

The specialist also takes charge of facilitating data connections, managing the onboarding and offboarding of clients, and maintaining comprehensive database documentation. Additionally, they actively collaborate with stakeholders to design and optimize backend data structures while aiding in resolving data and reporting issues.

• Provide operational support and maintenance on data and reporting; Perform incident and problem management and troubleshooting to resolve issues.

• Develop and maintain up-to-date database documentation.

• Track and respond to ad hoc data extraction requests; evaluate the tracking information to propose new reporting solutions that promote self-service.

• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the backend data structures and semantic layer are designed properly and fit-for-purpose.

• Ensure overall reporting solution quality, reliability, and performance.

• Participate in the evaluation of new technologies for continuous improvement.

• Assist teammates with problem resolution of data and reporting issues; collaborate on developing new solutions.

• Facilitate and maintain data connections for new and existing clients.

• Routine data hygiene tasks and responding to flags identifying data integrity issues

• Merging and analyzing relatable data for ad hoc data analysis requests

Basic Requirements: 

• Degree or equivalent certification in computer science, management information systems, or database management.

• 1+ years of experience in database management, reporting, or related roles

• Hands-on experience with one or more BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, DataStudio)

• Experience working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, MiniTab)

• Intermediate SQL experience with the ability to write SQL queries

• Proficient in data analysis and analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems.

• Self-starter, flexible, and able to organize and prioritize tasks for projects and daily support requests and issues.

• Strong problem-solving and logic-driven skills

• Preferred Qualification: Experience with generative AI, machine learning, and data modeling.
