Job Profile:

Like in any organization, data capabilities are a cornerstone for success. For Voya, the Data Exchange Product Owner plays a key role in ensuring the execution of the strategic goals and objectives in support of our data exchange capabilities.

This role will interact with business partners to ensure that we understand the greatest opportunities for our customers. This role works to develop an integrated view of the enterprise using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, and available industry standard techniques. This role reports into business management and works closely with a counterparts in IT to align technical solutions with business needs. This role will not have supervisory responsibility, it will be accountable for leading agile teams(s) for executing work. In addition, this role works though others at every level of the organization soliciting strategic imperatives from defined leaders and strategic stakeholders.

This role is responsible for driving data quality improvements by measuring and driving awareness of data quality opportunities to business leaders. This role has the credibility to influence cross-functional business leaders and drives clear communication and change management plans to support data governance policies, data quality priorities, MDM project integration and data accuracy reporting to drive results.

Profile Description:
  • Create and maintain a healthy backlog for the agile team.
  • Support the agile process by partnering with the Scrum Master, Implementation Architect and ,
  • Defining the vision. Product Owners are professionals who are responsible for defining the vision of the product
  • Managing Product Backlog. Managing the Product Backlog is one of the primary responsibilities of the Product Owner
  • Prioritizing needs. An essential aspect of a Product Owner's responsibilities is prioritizing the needs of the product and objectives of the product according to the Stakeholders.
  • Overseeing Development Stages. A significant part of the Product Owner's task is to manage the development stages of the product
  • Describe the primary business functions of the enterprise and distinguish between customer-facing, supplier-related, business execution and business management functions.
  • Define the set of strategic, core and support processes that transcend functional and organizational boundaries; identify and describe external entities such as customers, suppliers, and external systems that interact with the business; and describe which people, resources and controls are involved in the processes.
  • Define the data shared across the enterprise and the relationships between those data.
  • Capture the relationships among roles, capabilities and business units, the decomposition of those business units into subunits, and the internal or external management of those units.

Knowledge & Experience:
  • Experience in the Health Solutions/Employee Benefits space.
  • Enrollment technology background
  • Extensive experience planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations
  • The ability to act as liaison conveying information needs of the business to IT and data constraints to the business; applies equal conveyance regarding business strategy and IT strategy, business processes and work flow automation, business initiatives and IT initiatives, and benefit realization and service delivery
  • Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus
  • Strong situational analysis and decision making abilities
