This role focuses on supporting and administering cloud-based data platforms within an Azure Data Lake and Databricks environment. You will be responsible for ensuring secure, efficient, and reliable data access and integration across enterprise data workflows. The position involves managing user provisioning, access control, and platform configuration while supporting data pipeline operations and system integrations. You will work closely with engineering and data teams to maintain high availability and performance of data services. The environment is highly cloud-centric and requires strong operational discipline across Azure-based data services. This is a contract opportunity ideal for professionals experienced in cloud database administration and data platform support.
Accountabilities:
- Manage and support Azure-based data environments, including Azure Data Lake and related database services.
- Handle user provisioning, access control, and security configurations across data platforms.
- Support Databricks cluster and endpoint management to ensure stable and efficient processing environments.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Azure Data Factory pipelines and data workflows.
- Assist in application integration and data connectivity across enterprise systems.
- Participate in project implementation activities related to data platform enhancements and deployments.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and operational standards.
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure environments.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory.
- Strong understanding of user access management, identity provisioning, and security controls in cloud environments.
- Experience supporting data pipelines and enterprise data integration workflows.
- Familiarity with application integration and cloud-based data architecture.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in production data environments.
- Ability to work independently in a remote contract setting.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical teams.
- Must be a US citizen, Green Card holder, TN visa holder, GC EAD, or H4 EAD (no third-party C2C).
