This role is responsible for building a team to run core components of a global Data Management platform, which will provide a set of data management-related services to Belron.

The platform lead will have hands-on technical knowledge of deploying EC2, Network configuration, Firewall setup, Security, and application deployment. You will be accountable for supporting the platform running global Data Management solutions. The individual is relentlessly focused on platform stability, usability and security that are continuously improved through the iterative development of platform capabilities.

The platform lead is responsible for the platform vision and its evolution working alongside the Head of Data Engineering & Platforms to establish a global operating model whilst meeting tactical and strategic objectives of the business. The platform owner is the primary point of contact with the vendor's product management to identify needs and prioritize the roadmap items based on business value.

What You'll Do

• Line-management of Data Management Platform development and support resources.
• Owns the platform roadmap, with key elements being Master Data Management, Data Quality, Data Governance, and Data Integration.
• Maintains an active platform capacity plan, ensuring enough headroom is available for current and anticipated future usage, and highlights as necessary any need for additional platform resources.
• Ensure that the data management platform services comply with stringent global security and regulatory standards.
• Actively monitor resource usage and manage any agreed cross-charging.
• Builds internal intellectual property around platform features and roadmap, including acting as a point of reference for design best practices
• Ensures delivery requirements are balanced with strategic capabilities, promoting improved overall usability and functionality provided by the platform.
• Regularly interacts with vendor product management to communicate on capability gaps/enhancements and provide business adoption KPIs.
• Provides a single point of contact for escalation of critical platform support issues.
• Actively drives platform adoption by continuously improving processes, standards, policies, working methods, and tools.

What You'll Need

• Solid experience of designing, developing, managing and operating large, global, cloud-based applications using EC2 deployments as the backbok
• Experience managing global users and stakeholders.
• Experience with agile project delivery using DevOps methodology
• Experience in contributing to and enforcing technical policies, procedures, and standards.
