We are currently seeking a Data Management Specialist to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia (US-DC), United States (US).

The Data Management Specialist serves as a gatekeeper for the government client, for stakeholders to better understand the data and use it to make strategic business decisions. The data manager will need to be detail oriented and have strong communication skills.

This individual will be responsible for the following:

• Maintain MTS Commitment Database utilizing MS Access, with daily updates.
• Collect, interpret, and monitor incoming correspondence and deliverables, to ensure quality and accuracy of data submission.
• Prepare/distribute outgoing commitment packages; review and distribute out-going correspondence.
• Prepare for and participate in meetings with other managers to collect status information for outstanding commitment packages.
• Take notes and provide oral and or written meeting summaries.
• Develop and deliver daily/weekly reports and metrics data that reflects progress and completion status of commitment packages.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with data management
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with submarines/submarine programs
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office applications
• Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting a military program office or other government agency
• Active SECRET security clearance required (or eligible)
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated excellent English skills, spoken and written (spelling and grammar)
• Demonstrated technical writing skills
• Experience creating documentation for submarine construction
• Experience participating in and/or leading meetings
• Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders to collect required documentation
