Data Manager

We’re looking for a Data Manager to join our Data Services department to support the full lifecycle of data in T-REX from ingestion, to curation, normalization and delivery. Our ideal candidate is an expert on data dictionaries, taxonomies, and data schemas in the structured finance space and is experienced at mapping this data into a pre-defined platform. The Data Manager will collaborate with Product Specialists, Data Analysts, and Data Engineering to build out our Data Management platform and associated services. The Data Manager will be integral to ensuring the highest level of data quality providing unique value to the T-REX platform and our client’s workflows. A successful Data Manager at T-REX is someone who exhibits knowledge of structured finance data, creative and analytical thinking, and the desire to be a team player while also being able to work independently.

What you’ll do

• You will have the opportunity to design unique data schemas, data dictionaries, and taxonomies from in support of our data and analytics platform.
• You will manage the full lifecycle of the data ingestion process in coordination with various stakeholders.
• You will leverage your finance knowledge when solving for unique reporting needs.
• You will collaborate across departments to ensure our data content and platform are continually advancing.
• You will collaborate within Data Services to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of our data management capabilities and processes are world class and always improving.
• You will have the opportunity to own key team deliverables.

Requirements

This role may be right for you if:

• You have 3+ years of industry experience.
• You have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, an Applied Mathematics field, Management Science, Operations Research, or related.
• You are both an analytical and creative thinker.
• You’re a team player with the ability to work independently and drive processes across the team (startup experience is a plus!)
• You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex topics to people with varying backgrounds.
• You love to build genuine connections with the people you work alongside.
