Job Description
Exiger's Government Solutions is looking for a Data Manager (SDX) to join our Product Intelligence Team, your primary responsibility is to oversee the management of customer data, from initial collection to regular updates and enhancements. Working closely with Deployment and Accounts Managers, you will ensure that clients have access to reliable data, fostering trust and delivering value through actionable insights.
What You’ll Do
As a Data Manager (SDX) on the Product Intelligence Team at Exiger, you will be responsible for managing customer data from collection of seed data for implementation through daily updates and upgrades. You play an integral role in our business, working hand-in-hand with Deployment and Accounts Managers to build trusted relationships with every client founded in having excellent and reliable data available at their fingertips.
- Collect and normalize client seed data for upload into SDX using excel or other business systems
- Partner with Part Coders to track progress and import BOM data to SDX
- Perform regular data updates; integrate MPS files, shipments, pricing data, etc.
- Troubleshoot bad data as needed - interfacing with Exiger development resources and clients as needed to complete needed corrections
- Test data inputs to ensure quality reporting in SDX
- Attend client meetings and provide critical updates on data status, issues, or opportunities to aid widespread organization adoption, and cultivate trust with key stakeholders
- Work with client/s suppliers to enhance data in SDX by validating BOM data or mapping tiers of supply
- Generate SDX reports for clients and Exiger’s Deployment and Accounts Mangers to help drive informed recommendations to each customer based on their value drivers
- Provide data for RFQ preparation and evaluation
- Provide reporting on high risk suppliers or parts
- Identify opportunities for aggregation and/or supplier normalization
- Manage multiple clients simultaneously, keeping a keen eye on project timelines, deliverables, and budget to optimize success
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, supply chain, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working for a manufacturing company as a business analyst, capacity planner, parts buyer, or commodity manager
- Experience with Snowflake, Sisense, or Redshift (AWS) is preferred
- Strong understanding of database management
- Strong MS Excel Skills
- Persuasive and concise oral and written communication
- Proven ability to manage project timelines, resources, and tasks
- Analytical mindset and strong acuity for data insights
- Meticulously organized and detail oriented
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience in Aerospace, Automotive, Healthcare, or Defense is a big plus!
- BONUS: ability to read an engineering drawing / part blueprint
- Ability to travel up to 15%
