Data Migration Specialist

We build tools to improve consumer lending by meeting the needs of financial institutions and their customers around the world. We seek to challenge traditional credit scoring models, while expanding the use of our proprietary technology across the fintech industry.

As we keep growing our customer base, we are looking for a Data Migration Specialist to join our Engineering department. This role will ensure successful onboarding and continuous support for new and existing clients by transitioning their data to our technology platform. Our Data Migration Specialist will partner with our Client Success Managers, Data Scientists and Client Engineers to make sure the data we receive from clients are clean, organized, and in correct forms.

In this role you will:

• Validate and convert raw data we receive from clients into standardized formats
• Identify potential errors and mistakes from the data with preliminary data checks
• Learn, develop, and refine processes to increase efficiency
• Request and transfer data files from our data providers / vendors, and migrate data we receive 
• Partner with Client Success Managers to ensure all data requests are well communicated and delivered on time
• Partner with Data Scientists and Engineers to build and test tools to streamline parts of the process

We are looking for:

• Detail oriented, organized and highly disciplined when following defined processes
• Strong ability to analyze and transform tabular datasets, including but not limited to formatting, mapping columns, combining columns, merging datasets, etc. Related experience using Excel/Google Docs to manipulate tabular data is a strong plus.
• Good sense with numbers. Capable of identifying potential errors in the dataset
• Experience with Python is a strong plus. If no experience, your interest in learning simple Python tools is also welcomed
• A good understanding of concepts around file system, permissions, and transfers
• Excellent time management skills to be able to handle and deliver multiple tasks on time
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative ability
