Responsibilities 

  • Understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) – Creation, Support or Enhancement of ETL Pipelines to extract and Ingest data into data lake/warehouse and troubleshooting ETL job issues.
  • Solve problems related to the Core application systems and the building of automation to prevent problem recurrence with the goal of automating applications and deliverables. 
  • Comply with, Identify, and adopt operational best practices and process improvements within the following functional areas: Audit, Change Management, Incident Management, Vulnerability Management, Tools and Application Support and Data Privacy and Protection.
  • Testing Data pipelines at staging/QA environments and help deploying them at production.
  • Writing proprietary packages / frameworks to be used for internal purposes to make the standard tasks easier (such as data load, model testing, exploratory data analysis, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Internal/External Teams and TPAs to improve ETL processes and ensure high data quality in our environments
  • Plan and Support Platform Upgrades, Disaster Recovery Exercises, etc.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, departmental technical procedures, and user guides.
  • Be willing to work non-standard business hours on an on-call basis in a 24x7x365 environment

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Undergraduate degree required; Computer Science preferred.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in Python, Core Java, Hadoop, AWS, Rest API, Microservices, Spring Boot, Spring cloud etc.
  • 4 + years of Advanced working SQL knowledge. 
  • Knowledge of Control-M Enterprise Scheduling.
  • Knowledge of Incident and Change management processes.
  • Experience with unstructured datasets, such as log files, email, and text
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to provide solutions for specific business requirements.
  • Experience in scripting, batch scheduling and version control tools.
  • Cultural awareness with excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Passion and drive for continuous improvement and transformational change, with a business owner mentality.
  • Experience supporting an enterprise-level environment
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization, including Senior Leadership
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
