Data Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Operations Specialist to oversee and enhance our data annotation processes. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and project management skills to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of data annotation efforts. The ideal candidate will be adept at developing tools, managing teams, and working with various vendors to meet our data quality standards.

YOUR MISSION

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate Data Annotation Efforts: Lead the in-house data annotation team to annotate, review, and validate recorded data, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of annotated data.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Generate and maintain reports to constantly monitor key data annotation metrics, such as data quality, throughput, and yield.
• Vendor Management: Conduct ongoing performance reviews of third-party vendors, generating detailed reports to assess performance and implement improvements.
• Project Management: Oversee multiple annotation projects concurrently, coordinating efforts with vendors to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Collaboration with Algorithm Developers: Work closely with algorithm developers and data engineers to implement annotation policies that address technical and operational constraints.
• Collaboration with Data Engineering: Assist data engineers in defining user needs for data annotation enablers, such as annotation tools, vendor APIs, and dashboard analytics.
• Documentation and Training: Develop a solid understanding of project guidelines to effectively communicate labeling concepts, identify inefficiencies, and assist in creating documentation and training materials.
• API Integration: Integrate with vendor APIs for new annotation requirements, ensuring seamless functionality and adherence to specifications. Ability to work with JSON format and basic Python code.
• Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks as needed to support the data annotation function, as the list of tasks is not exhaustive but indicative of the responsibilities.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• 2+ years of experience in a technical role.
• Experience in a start-up environment is an asset.
• Experience with data operations or data annotation teams is an asset.
• Experience working with international customers and partners is an asset.
• Experience in complex project management is an asset.
