Job Description:

SUMMARY

As an Applications Development Manager, you will manage a dedicated team who is responsible for creating and driving the technical strategy and development of an enterprise data platform. You will partner with business, product, and self-managed agile teams to develop highly scalable, flexible, and resilient applications that provide durable solutions to business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinates system analysis and application development activities through direct and indirect staff
• Partners with business and technology leadership to define, prioritize, and achieve strategic objectives related to application development projects and platforms
• Identifies opportunities to deliver business value through business process improvement, organizational change, and/or technology integration
• Analyzes project risks, costs, and benefits and makes relevant recommendations to business and technology leadership team
• Manages end-to-end application scoping, sizing, estimating, analyzing cross-impacts, planning, development, implementation and post implementation maintenance and support
• Directs development teams in the areas of scheduling, technical direction, future planning, and standard development practices
• Implements best practices to ensure that all core IT functions are fully documented, supportable, and in compliance with applicable regulations
• Develops processes and tools that encourage continuous performance improvements
• Regularly communicates the status of application development to all impacted stakeholders, sets expectations, and manages team members
• Performs other related duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
• Requires 7+ years of development experience
• Requires 5+ years of experience in a lead role and/or directly supervising others
• Experience in SQL and NoSQL Database platforms
• Experience in data modeling
• Experience with data warehouse, ETL, and reporting

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in data strategy and working with data platforms
• Experience with data migration and transformation
• Experience working in an enterprise environment
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Demonstrated track record of delivering multiple complex projects on time and within budget
• Knowledge in the Financial Services or Mortgage industry a plus
• Excellent communication, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to develop partnership-oriented relationships with business executives and functional leaders, especially as it relates to operations and technology
