As a Data Platform Manager, you will play a critical role in leading, designing, and governing a secure, scalable, and efficient data analytics platform that enables data democratization through reporting and visualization. To excel in this role, you should have a deep understanding of the full modern data stack, exceptional leadership and communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality data analytics solutions.
As a Data Platform Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Collaborate on development and maintenance of the product roadmap for data products, ensuring alignment with overall company goals and objectives.
- Lead a team of data and analytics engineers to design, build, and maintain high-quality data products that meet client and internal requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including data scientists, product owners, and business leaders, to define product requirements and prioritize initiatives.
- Establish and monitor key performance metrics for the data products, ensuring the team is focused on delivering value and continuously improving.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team, encouraging experimentation and creative problem-solving.
- Manage resource allocation, team workload, and project timelines to ensure timely delivery of data products.
- Oversee and ensure the adherence to best practices in data engineering, analytics, and product management, including data governance, privacy, and security.
- Continuously assess the market landscape, staying updated on emerging trends and technologies, to ensure the competitiveness of the data products.
In addition to the responsibilities listed above, you will be expected to participate as an individual contributor to the data analytics team. You will use your expertise in data analytics and the full modern data stack to deliver high-quality data analytics solutions that meet business requirements. You will also continue to develop your technical skills to optimize and automate our testing strategy and keep abreast of new technologies and developments in the data analytics field.
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the full modern data stack, including Snowflake, DBT, Looker, and other data analytics tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing team of Data Engineers/Analysts.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and ETL processes.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven experience in delivering high-quality data analytics solutions that meet business requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Compensation
The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and in addition to benefits this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity.
US base salary range: $98,600 - $177,600
