The Privacy Analyst will report to the Vice President, Data Privacy, and will support the Privacy Operations team on privacy, data protection, and data governance issues as they relate to the evaluation of business initiatives, processes, and applications within Equifax. The position will support the activities of the data privacy and protection program, partnering with Security, Technology, Legal, Data & Analytics, and other stakeholders, and will also have further responsibility for corporate privacy projects. This position will manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables, as well as support other global Data Privacy and Protection initiatives.

What you'll do

  • Provide support on privacy, data protection, and data governance issues as they relate to the evaluation of business initiatives, processes, and applications within Equifax.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to implement and embed privacy-by-design principles.
  • Research and respond to privacy-related questions and requests for onsite audits.
  • Maintain privacy program documentation, including policies, notices, and standard operating procedures.
  • Raise privacy awareness and acumen.
  • Maintain visibility into emerging privacy issues, including US and international privacy laws and regulations that may impact Equifax.

What experience you need

  • One (1) to two (2) years of data privacy, data protection, or data governance experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Bachelor's degree -- focus on data science, technology, computer science, business, or similar field a plus.
  • Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) -- a plus.
  • Experience in privacy program operations.
  • Understanding of privacy policies, notices, principles, and frameworks.
  • Experience interpreting privacy regulations.
  • Experience or familiarity with conducting privacy impact assessments.
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize assignments.
  • Demonstrated partnering skills, with experience coordinating initiatives with partners in a multinational organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on informing, influencing and relationship building for both technical and non-technical partners.
