Data Privacy Analyst

MEMIC is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Privacy Analyst to join our team. The primary role of the Data Privacy Analyst is to ensure compliance with data privacy laws and regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing contracts, managing vendors, and coordinating all related legal issues.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate legal resources with third-party law firms to ensure MEMIC is fully compliant with data privacy laws and regulations. 
• Ensure MEMIC is fully compliant with data privacy laws and regulations.
• Review contracts to ensure that they comply with data privacy laws and regulations.
• Manage relationships with vendors and ensure that they are fully compliant with data privacy laws and regulations.
• Coordinate all related legal issues, such as data breach response plans, incident response, and other legal matters related to data privacy.
• Manage MEMIC's Anti-Fraud policies and procedures.
• Manage Record Retention policies and procedures.
• Assist the Corporate Risk Officer in managing MEMIC's overall enterprise risk management.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

• Bachelor’s degree in business, legal studies, or related field with a minimum of 2 years of proven experience in finance, insurance or compliance or an equivalent combination of work and education experience required.
• Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) designation is a plus.
• Strong understanding of data privacy laws and regulations.
• Ability to review contracts and identify potential risks and issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of vendor management and coordination.
