Data Privacy Specialist (Hybrid/Remote)

Role Summary:

The Data Privacy Specialist will play a key role in helping the business maintain compliance in the emerging areas of data privacy law and regulation. The Data Privacy Specialist will be the bridge between our strategy in this area and the day-to-day actions of 500 colleagues.

Responsibilities:

• Work with a wide range of internal stakeholders to assess, develop, document, and then communicate principles and processes for compliant handling of data privacy issues
• Implement scalable, repeatable processes in the areas supporting data privacy
• Build success by helping to remove obstacles impeding the team
• Match available resources with business demand and identify resource requirements to meet future business needs
• Assist consumers who want to manage their consent
• Work within a small team of data privacy specialists to achieve the goals of the Commercial Data Privacy Office
• Be the primary liaison to the Governance office
• Work with members of the corporate Privacy, Legal, and Governance teams to ensure that the processes that are developed and audit meet company expectations

Essential Functions:

• Develop, document, and communicate Guiding Principles
• Develop, document, and communicate standard operating procedures for data privacy processes
• Develop, document, and communicate an access control policy
• Perform internal auditing of compliance to key data privacy processes and controls
• Monitor and process data subject access requests
• Coordinate with Corporate on data subject access requests

Qualifications:

• Experience developing, documenting, and communicating standard operating procedures
• Experience with U.S. data privacy laws and regulations is a plus, but not required
• Process auditing experience is a plus
• Knowledge of the technical systems that drive digital marketing, especially digital advertising, is a plus
• Equal proficiency as a self-starter and team contributor
• Experience partnering effectively on cross-functional projects or teams
• Outstanding communication skills, including proficiency in writing, PPT development and delivery, and verbal
• Excellent strategy and problem-solving skills, including a demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills
• Sound judgment and decision-making skills
• Strong software and computer skills, including MS Office applications
