Data Quality Analyst

At IMC, data is pivotal in shaping trading decisions across a wide range of financial products. Better data means better decision making and our Data Quality team makes sure we are on top of our data that is used in our trading algorithms. As a member of the Data Quality team, you will play a crucial part in monitoring, identifying, and resolving data issues at scale while we are now in the early stages of forming this team and discipline within IMC globally.
Your core responsibilities:
You will make sure we algorithmically scan terabytes of data to detect potential anomalies and correct them. You will empower our researchers and traders to develop cutting-edge trading strategies based on high-quality data. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across various areas to understand how data is extracted and utilized, ultimately finding the best ways to improve its quality. How? You will:

• Build and maintain high-quality datasets for use in trading models;
• Monitor data quality and reliability using technical solutions, including machine learning algorithms and advanced analytics, to identify and resolve anomalies;
• Enhance and enrich existing datasets with contextual information;
• Analyze, assess and integrate new data sources for quality and suitability;
• Collaborate with researchers and traderds to identify and implement strategies for improving data quality and effectively communicate findings and issues with stakeholders;
• Work with different Tech teams to develop solutions that structurally enhance data integrity across IMC.

What you bring to the team:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Data Analyst/Analytics Engineer working with large datasets;
• A quantitative master's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Finance, Econometrics or a related field;
• Interest in Financial Markets and trading (experience is preferred);
• Thorough proficiency in Python and SQL and experience with visualizing data;
• Hands-on experience in manipulating and improving data quality;
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills;
• Effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with technical audiences.
