Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Architect with 16 to 20 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java Python Rest API Data Management Functional DQG Architect Alation and Data Catalog. This hybrid role requires a deep understanding of technical architecture and data management to drive our projects to success. The position operates during the day shift and does not require travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of complex technical architectures to support business objectives.
• Oversee the development and integration of Java and Python-based solutions.
• Provide expertise in Rest API development and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
• Manage data management functions to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
• Develop and maintain data quality governance (DQG) frameworks to uphold data standards.
• Utilize Alation and other data catalog tools to enhance data discovery and management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Ensure the scalability and performance of data architectures to meet growing business needs.
• Conduct regular assessments and optimizations of existing systems to improve efficiency.
• Mentor and guide junior architects and developers to foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation.
• Provide technical leadership in project planning and execution to ensure timely delivery.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical insights.

Qualifications

• Possess extensive experience in Java and Python programming.
• Demonstrate strong expertise in Rest API development and integration.
• Have a deep understanding of data management functions and best practices.
• Show proficiency in data quality governance (DQG) frameworks.
• Be skilled in using Alation and other data catalog tools.
• Exhibit strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Have excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Be capable of mentoring and guiding junior team members.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Certifications Required

Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) Java SE 11 Developer Certification Python Institute PCEP Certification

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $115000 – $ 160000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
