As a Data Registry Coordinator, your role will be to review the care of patients with multiple diagnoses and hospital encounters. You will share opportunities for improvement and success in patient care with institute leadership. This team has a strong partnership with other teams that use our data. As a Data Registry Coordinator, you will:
• Collect, validate and submit reliable clinical data to the clinical registries.
• Analyze data and reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Provide content expertise for program/registry requirements and guidelines to clinical teams and committees in a multi-hospital environment.

Responsibilities:
- Identifies patients for inclusion in Data Registries through the application of strict inclusion/exclusion criteria and protocols.
- Collects and validates data for the program using the applicable criteria and definitions established by the registry.
- Establishes and maintains adequate work flow for data collection.
- Ensures the accurate and timely submission of data into the program's website and assuring the transmission of completed data according to the program's targets and deadlines.
- Analyzes the data and reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborates with clinical departments/units on performance improvement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare required or graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Certifications:
- Current valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license may be required for some positions.
Complexity of Work:
- Familiarity with medical record documentation and mainframe systems for patient information.
Work Experience:
- Minimum five years of related experience.
Physical Requirements:
- High degree of dexterity to produce material on a PC and normal or corrected vision to normal range.
- Frequent sitting, standing and walking required.
- Must possess ability to clearly communicate verbally by phone and in person.
- May require some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
- Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
