F&G is hiring for a Data & Reporting Analyst position
Job Summary
The Data and Reporting Analyst will be responsible for development and maintenance of reporting and dashboards across Retail Operations with a focus on real-time data availability and supporting the leadership in managing teams based on data-driven decision making. This position reports to the AVP, Agency Services and will support all of Retail Operations. This role will require a strong desire to collaborate with business stakeholders, business leaders, and provide subject matter expertise in understanding their reporting needs and data utilized within the Retail Operations Teams. In addition, this role will integrate data from various sources to support development solutions such as reports, dashboards, and self-service applications. This role will also collaborate with Analytics and Data Management and Information Technology teams meet the delivery objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Gather and prepare data from various operational sources to support reporting and analytics
- Create system and transaction reconciliation reports to support ongoing operations
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
- Create a maintain a data dictionary for Retail Operations
- Champion the transition from manual preparation and delivery of reports towards providing improved self-service tools and capabilities (web-based report distribution, intranet sites, report catalogs, training programs, etc.) for the team and customers.
- Support the development and enhancements of data repositories, data marts, and analytics cubes
- Support the development of automated reports and dashboards using SSRS, Tableau, Power BI, Excel and other reporting tools
- Support ad-hoc reporting and data extract requests
- Provide consultative support by answering questions about the available data and the data that is possible to capture from the third-party systems
- Provide input to project planning, status and review meetings.
- Design, develop and support reporting tools that utilize advanced features in MS Excel and other reporting solutions
- Provide support for miscellaneous data projects and initiatives
Experience and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred emphasis in computer science or MIS)
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in data analytics and reporting
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience creating advanced reports using Microsoft SSRS, Tableau, and Excel
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience with SQL Server 2008 R2 or higher
- Expert level experience designing/developing data integrations using various data sources
- Experience working with Business Intelligence solutions: operational and analytical, strong knowledge of relational and multi-dimensional database architectures
- Experience writing SQL queries and strong knowledge of SQL
- Experience developing Tableau/Power BI applications with powerful visualization
Preferred Requirements  Â
- Experience with Life Insurance and Indexed Annuity data
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS as it pertains to data and analytics             Â
- Experience integrating data through Web Services/API securely from external systems with in-house data
