Data Reporting Analyst

Our client is looking for Data Reporting Analyst with at least four years of experience to support multiple project-based initiatives in support, SQL development, data analysis, financial model creation, financial analysis and reporting as well as the implementation of various Commonwealth systems. The position requires a balance of technical knowledge of infrastructure, deployments along with strong communication, reporting, analysis, project and task management.

This is a hybrid position in Boston, MA

Requirements

Responsibilities:

1. Creates data models, reports and assessments
2. Identifies and solves project issues
3. Drafts evaluations; presentations
4. Creates strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning and project risk assessment
5. Focuses on data integrity (past validation efforts, very large data sets)
6. Manages complex projects from design and development to production
7. Reviews requirements and updates plan project lifecycle deployment
8. Reviews resources and updates schedule for project implementation
9. Plans and schedules project deliverables, goals, milestones
10. Designs and maintain technical and project documentation
11. Designs and updates relational databases, SQL, financial applications and governance documents
12. Identifies and solves project issues
13. Applies financial/accounting principles and best practices
14. Works with end users to gather and document requirements

Qualifications:

1. Strong Financial Report Writing (SQL), Access DB, PowerBI, Tableau
2. Strong Analytical/Problem solving skills
3. Knowledge of cloud data servers and warehouse, PSQL, Amazon Redshift
4. Knowledge of data visualization, programming, API's, data pipelines
5. Strong critical thinking and data management skills
6. Strong professional communication (written, presentation and verbal) skills
7. Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism
8. Proficiency in the following MS Project, MS Office
9. Understanding of Accounting/Finance Principles (Government background preferred)
10. Experience creating efficiencies using software (time/cost savings as a direct result of independent work)
11. PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent preferred.
12. Bachelor's Degree or higher in Analytics, Data, Technology, Management, Finance, Accounting or related field
13. Minimum 3 years of project management or IT Management experience
14. Minimum 4 years experience coordinating and/supporting IT business processes
15. Former local, state, federal government experience preferred
