Position Overview

The Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in the Data Research team, supporting content creation by collecting, classifying, and reviewing data to enhance our articles. This position is pivotal in ensuring the swift, accurate, and high-quality publication of content across Forbes Marketplace properties, including Forbes Health, Forbes Advisor US, Forbes Advisor International, Forbes Home, Forbes Business, and Wheels.

Collaborating with Researcher and analyst, you will lead the collection and compilation of data related to financial products, such as loans, mortgages, savings/checking accounts, credit cards, online brokerage, insurance, as well as topics like health products, home improvement, entrepreneurship, legal services, and education.

Skill & Experience 

We seek a dynamic and analytical Assistant Manager with 6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will conduct in-depth primary research, design and execute research projects, and provide actionable recommendations for informed business decisions. 

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of US financial institutions, products, services such as cards, loans, mortgages, accounts etc and regulatory environment.

• Excellent communication skills, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with senior executives and clients.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proficient in data entry and record-keeping.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the research topics covered in Finserv space (products, providers, metrics, attributes) to ensure that you can provide the best support in case of questions and issues with the researchers.

• Liaise with the analysts to have a productive discussion on research requirements, timelines and planning on next steps.

• To maintain effective team coordination making sure projects are getting completed within set timelines by ensuring data quality.

• Lead by example by consistently demonstrating subject matter expertise, proactiveness, initiative, and a results-driven approach in your own work.

• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of collected data by conducting thorough quality assurance checks.

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with specific teams, department heads, or designated contacts.

• Reframe research strategies as needed, ensuring adaptability to changing circumstances and evolving project requirements.
