About this role

We are looking for an experienced Data Science & Analytics professional to join our Global CHVAC team. An ideal candidate for this position will research and apply knowledge of existing and emerging data science principles, theories, and techniques to inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead analytics/automation projects across the Global CHVAC organization from strategic vision to implementation
• Key external analytics: economics, market analysis, share reporting, peer analysis
• Key internal analytics: sales, orders, pricing, productivity, etc.
• Partner with the Carrier Data Analytics team to align on enterprise-wide roadmap and strategies
• Develop dashboards and automated reports in Power BI to augment financial reporting, analysis and planning cycles
• Introduce predictive analytics, scenario modeling, and other statistical supplements into dashboard models (market, share, etc.)
• Evaluate and support process improvement initiatives in reporting, analysis and planning cycles
• Data mining through large and complex data sets to solve problems using analytical and statistical approaches
• Present to senior leadership on analytic-driven findings and improvement initiatives
• Special projects and business unit support as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, IT, Business or Economics
• 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, FP&A and/or Data Transformation
• 3+ years of experience with financial consolidation systems and data visualizations tools.
• 3+ years of experience querying from multiple data sources.
• 2+ years of experience communicating complex insights clearly and accurately to a variety of audiences verbally & written.
• 1+ year of experience with statistical techniques such as regression, clustering, and/or time series modeling/forecasting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree or MBA
• Experience with Oracle's Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Power BI
• Experience with SAP HANA
• Experience working with both business and technical teams, coordinating solution design, development/configuration, and deployment across multi-dimensional teams
• Able to work with minimal direction and organization skills critical to achieve project deadlines
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and analytics-driven findings to senior executives and explain business processes, concepts, challenges and issues to technical resources
