Job Summary

If so, you might be interested in the opportunity to join Raytheon Missile & Defense (RMD) Digital Technology AI/ML & Analytics team as a Data Science intern.

Interns working with our Digital Analytics & Applications - AI/ML & Analytics teams can expect to gain exposure and experience applying data science across the RMD business. Specifically, this will include working with and contributing to the application of data science and software engineering methods to develop and deploy production-scale AI/ML & analytical solutions. Products may span Products will span manufacturing, engineering, business development, supply chain, quality control functions, and mission areas.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics; preferred majors include Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or other quantitative degree in STEM fields.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

• Experience or education in data science and machine learning
• Experience or education in Python, including statistical and machine learning libraries (e.g., numpy, scipy, pandas, scikit-image, scikit-learn)
• Experience or education in data engineering, including building data pipelines, data reduction techniques, and feature selection methods.
• Experience or education with data visualization applications such as Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI, SAP or Lumira.
• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFLow, Keras) and GPU programming for deployment for data science applications
• Experience or education in Linux and bash scripting
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

This position can be an intern based on the candidate's qualifications and standing as outlined below:

• Sophomore Technical Intern - must have completed 30 credit hours by start of internship
• Junior Technical Intern - must have completed 60 credit hours of college by start of internship
• Senior Technical Intern - must have completed 90 credit hours of college by start of internship
• Post-Graduate Technical Intern - must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program
