Data Science- Student Position

Taboola, the world’s largest content recommendation platform, is hiring a Data Scientist in a Student position on our Business Intelligence group to further grow out our global Sales Operations department. This Data Scientist will work closely with our Sales management & Business teams to create data driven and machine learning solutions, which will extract and visualize actionable insights from large volumes of data, predict and analyze our clients' performance to ensure they are hitting/exceeding their KPIs.

What skills and qualifications do I need?

For this roll it is essential that you have

• Is actively pursuing or is about to start an advanced degree (master’s degree) in Computer Science/Computer Engineer/Data Science. 
• First degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineer
• Programming experience in Python and Java
• Self-starter, fast-learner, self-motivated, able to think big and move fast
• Strong communication skills and excellent English (required to communicate daily with teams in New York and London offices)

It’d be great if you have:

• Experience implementing machine learning (e.g. supervised and/or unsupervised learning), statistical modeling
• Experience in developing models using deep learning techniques and tools
• Experience in developing software within a distributed computation framework
• SQL & database experience is preferred
• Good analytical skills to understand and interpret the data for machine learning
• Having some business experience and understanding, along with strong presentation skills  

What will I be doing on a day to day basis?

As a data scientist student you will

• Assist in supporting our ongoing models in production
• Apply your scientific knowledge and creativity to analyze large volumes of diverse data and develop algorithms to solve complex problems
• Identify data science solutions for various model initiatives
• Design and build predictive customer behavior models for targeting and personalization
• Implement an applicable machine learning or statistics based algorithm for prediction and optimization
• Present your finalized products to various management leads and business users worldwide in a clear and actionable way
• Build and maintain code in production environments
