Core10 is looking for a Data Scientist with experience in software development, quantitative development, capital markets, insurance and financial services/FinTech.

Requirements
What you'll Do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design an efficient 'optimizer' ML model.
- Develop and implement machine learning algorithms to analyze data from Aurora DB and provide optimal solutions on asset allocation back to Aurora DB.
- Fine-tune and optimize the model's performance to ensure accurate and efficient recommendations.
- Work closely with engineers to integrate the ML model into our software infrastructure, ensuring seamless data flow and reliable output.
- Monitor and maintain the model's performance over time, making necessary updates and improvements.
- Investigate, Research and assess why a solution is what it is.
- Work and collaborate with business users to test results.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Very strong background in Math, Software Engineering, Quantitative development
- 5+ years experience as a Data Engineer, Data Scientist or Quantitative Developer
- Familiarity with Optimization methods, especially constrained optimization, Calculus and Linear Algebra
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models, preferably in the finance or banking domain.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python and experience with machine learning frameworks.
- Solid understanding of data processing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
- Experience working with relational databases (e.g., Aurora DB) and SQL for data retrieval and manipulation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bonus Points:
- Familiarity with Optimization libraries
- Fintech or Banking experience
- Advanced degree (Ph.D.) in a relevant field.
- Previous experience with financial modeling, asset allocation, or investment strategies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, GCP) for scalable model deployment.
- Contributions to open-source ML projects or publications in relevant conferences/journals.
