Position: Data Scientist

Job Duties:

  1. Develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software.
  2. Design and develop machine learning algorithms to meet the client's business requirements.
  3. Define machine learning to solve specific business problems.
  4. Deliver proof of concept machine learning models to showcase feasibility of using data science to deliver insights and drive outcomes.
  5. Design, prototype, implement and test descriptive, predictive analytics, forecasting, and causal inference models.
  6. Work with engineers to architect and develop operational models that run at scale.
  7. Work with SQL, R, Python, and Spark language to implement statistical models, machine learning, and analysis (Recommenders, Prediction, Classification, Clustering, etc.) in big data environment.
  8. Work with AI and machine learning models, including time series forecasting, tree-based algorithms, classification, regression, natural language processing, image recognition, and more.
  9. Provide hands-on leadership at all stages of the delivery pipeline which include sales, estimation, design, management, coding, deployment and more.
  10. Assisting with the design and creation of software applications as a member of a cross-functional team of software developers, engineers, and scientists.

Salary: Available upon request

Work Schedule: 40 hours/week

Job Requirements:

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or closely related. Employer will accept advanced degree as the same.

Experience Requirements: 12 months of full-time, part-time, or combination of full-time and part-time experience in job offered, Graduate Research Assistant, Software Developer Apprentice, Business Intelligence Engineer Intern, or closely related. Employer will accept part-time experience if it is at least 20 hours per week.

Special skills requirements:

  1. Experience working with languages SQL, R, Python, and Spark to implement statistical models, machine learning, and analysis in big data environment
  2. Experience with statistical and mathematical knowledge of ML models.
  3. Experience with regression, classification, clustering, time series forecasting, and anomaly detection.
  4. Experience with neural networks including deep learning algorithms, such as CNNs used for image classification.
  5. Experience applying data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets.
  6. Experience with libraries including Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Matplotlib, and NLTK.
  7. Experience with Natural Language Processing models for sentiment analysis and binary classification.
  8. Experience writing secure, stable, testable, and maintainable codes with minimal defects, and automate manual processes where possible.
  9. Experience using one or more industry analytics visualization tools such as, Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, and PowerBI.
  10. Experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines.
  11. Experience architecting scalable and resilient data solutions for real time and batch processing directly.
