What the Role Delivers
The Data Scientist applies strong expertise in machine learning, data mining, and information retrieval to design, prototype, and build analytics engine and services. They work with business units to define technical problem statements and hypotheses and create efficient and accurate analytical models that mimic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
In order of relative importance
- Partner with business units to understand their needs and design end-to-end analytics models
- Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies
- Design and implement machine-learning models to support use case execution with a view of achieving overall objectives and targets
- Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy
- Maintain models including updates on monthly basis to support use cases
- Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality
- Define database structures, identify data type for collection, and setup data analysis software
- Assist in master data management

What the Job Requires
- MS/PhD (Computer Science or Electronics), Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related technical discipline OR Graduate degree in quantitative discipline and demonstrated Data Science skill set, plus 2+ years work experience
- 2-3 years' experience in a statistical and/or data science role
- Proficiency in R and/or Python is a must
- Deep knowledge of machine learning, statistics, optimization or related fields
- Experience working with large data sets, simulation/ optimization and distributed computing tools (e.g., Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of developments in the fields of AI and machine learning
- Travel as needed.
- Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification a plus.
